    Oil Filter

Is the Buell 1125R and EBR 1190RX oil filter the same filter?
    HD Part Q1064.1AM or K&N KN564 for Buell 1125R

The K&N site does not show anything for the EBR 1190RX even though they show a pull down for EBR but nothing is populated. I am not sure if that is because they do not have a filter because it was not the same as the 1125R or if EBR went belly up before the specification were provided.

AF1 Racing has the HighFlo HF564; numbers looks much like K&N number.

On Bad Weather Bikers I got mixed statements. Gemini said yes they are the same and JDugger indicted that the parts are not the same.

Any help on this would be great.

Yea I remember reading somewhere that you shouldnt use the K&N for the 1125 on the 1190 as the flow was not high enough. Wish I could remember where, either here, buellxb, badweb or FB not sure.

    Yes.
I bought a BUNCH of OEM filters back when Harley knocked Erik out the first, time for my CR. The CR's been laid up with a cam problem that I haven't gotten to (..!) yet, so changing the oil in my RX has been completed with the old stock of factory filters.
Fit is the same as it is on the 1125 engine.
So any filter marked for the 1125 engine, is the same for the 1190 engine.

I'm a little suspicious of the 1125 vs 1190 filter arguments. I see them as the same.

Change them often enough and none of this matters...

K&N filter is the same for both, I just bought a half dozen of them, HD wants $34.95 for the filter kit, now that is crazy!!

That is odd since the K&N site does not show any filter for the EBR.

Thanks for all the comments. It seems to lean the direction I would have thought which is that both are the same. Looks like HighFlo and K&N are two good after market choices.

For what it's worth I've had more than one HF564 box contain a Rotax stamped filter...

The 1125 filter and 1190 filter is exactly the same.
The RS came with a K&N from the factory.
The RX/SX used a media that was identical to the 1125.

The Hiflo is a cheaper version of the OEM with less pleats, so tread lightly on that option.
